Emotional-Evaluative Words in the Women‘s Portrayal in Dickens‘s Novel "Bleak House".

The key results of the study are the following: a) the author uses more emotional words of positive evaluation in women‘s portrayal thus creating a generally favourable image of their appearance; b) lexemes in the sematic structure of which emotional-evaluative component is the main one constitute only the half of the corpus findings; c) the novelist preferred to give the general characterization of women, rather than the detailed description of their appearance.References
