Abstract

The article emphasizes the importance of recording, systematizing and publishing dialectal texts of the Eastern steppe dialects as an important source for studying the genesis and modern state of Ukrainian dialects in the Donetsk region. Various samples of coherent speech are presented, which give an idea of the most important features of the newly created Donetsk dialects at all structural levels in the form in which they have been preserved in the beginning of the XXI century and which form the basis of the Book of the Ukrainian sub-dialects of the Donetsk region. The peculiarities of the textual base of the Eastern steppe dialects, presented in the textbook, are analyzed.
