Abstract

The conducted analysis demonstrates that the concept "WAR" obtains an extensive nominative field on the Svoboda pages. The means of its verbalization consist of lexical, phraseological and grammar units. Here belongs the main name of the concept and its synonyms (including borrowed ones), attributive and predicative syntagmas, phraseological units. We found the glaring amount of figurative devises, especially metaphors and metaphorical epithets. Due to the fact that the majority of the concept lingual representations are stylistically marked with evaluation, media texts have a high level of emotionality and expressivity.
