Cognitive Potential of Modal Meanings in the Fictional Prose of Ivan Bahrianyi.

The main concepts in Ivan Bahrianyi‘s fictional prose are "Ukraine‖ and ―USSR". Verbalized elements of the concepts have their modal qualification in the text. Author‘s metal sphere makes the modal meanings in the text constant. For instance, elements of the concept "USSR", verbalized in Ivan Bahrianyi‘s fictional prose, are constantly are attended by the meanings of negative axiology. On the other hand elements of the concept "Ukraine" are characterized by the meanings of positive axiology.
Different types of conceptual elements have different semantic means of verbalization. For instance, folksy symbols and comparisons as elements of concept "Ukraine" are expressed by lexical semantics, while Soviet established terms as elements of concept "USSR" – by phrasal semantics.
