Abstract

The research is devoted to the consideration of the methodology of frame-based modeling of Ecology and Natural Resources Subdiscource in linguistic phenomena learning in the context of conceptual world picture. Special attention is drawn to the semantic differentiation between conceptual and linguistic world pictures. Semantically, the notion “linguistic world picture” is narrower than “conceptual world picture”, so far as the most important concepts can find their linguistic expression. Both the linguistic and conceptual world pictures reflect the objective reality only.

The working hypothesis of the research is that Ecology and Natural Resources Subdiscource describes as a superframe and it is an important part of intrasystem and hierarchical structure of a complex frame “Ecological Discource”. Complex frames are divided into several superframes which consist of some itegrated cognitive categories such as: i) megaframes; ii) macroframes; iii) subframes and iv) microframes. Having used the methodology of framebased modeling, a superframe “Ecology and Natural Resources Subdiscource” is divided into eight megaframes: 1) Mineral Resources; 2) Water Resources; 3) Land Resources; 4) Biological Resources; 5) Forest & Wildlife Resources; 6) Recreation Resources; 7) Climatic Resources and 8) Space Resources.
