Abstract

Spelling and phonetic, word-formative as well as morphological and syntactic practice of Ivan Puliui has been analyzed. Spelling and phonetic practice shows the victory of phonetical principles of spelling over the etymological one accompanied by the reflection of vivid phonetic Western Ukrainian dialectal features. Wordformative practice is a synthesis of characteristic, old Ukrainian, occasionally interferential and dialectal features. Morphological and syntactic practice is a spread of characteristic Ukraine-wide usage, Western Ukrainian dialectal usage, Latin or Polish influence as adaptation of grammatical forms of the words of foreign origin, partial Russian influence as a result of political Moscowphilism distribution in Halychyna.
